Merci beaucoup!

Quebec, we thought we have experienced enough of you after several visits over the years. Little did we know, you have a secret. The Gaspesie Region is your most beautiful area. We loved cruising your roads with the dense green mountains on one side while vast blue waters is on the other. Churches atop the cliffs with spires visible from a distance; proud lighthouses standing guard and charming towns with colorful homes along route de navigateurs inviting us to stop and savour.

Picturesque seaside towns along Highway 132.

Church of La Martre across the lighthouse.

Beautiful scenery still along Hiway 132

We came for you, Perce Rock!

Just one view of the Froillon National Park.

So relaxing, so peaceful. We could stay here all day.

We came for the Perce Rock, the Froillon National Park, the grey seals & the whales – we saw them all & more!

Frolicking grey seals that make Bonaventure Island their home.

The beautiful Pointe a la Renommee (Fame Point Lighthouse)

The visit was too short but we had to go home and add new French words to our vocabulary. Our bon jour and s’il vous plaît were running out.

Au Revoir Gaspesie Region, Quebec! This will not be the last.
