The East Don Trail is one of our favorites due to its proximity to our home. We usually access the trail from South of Lawrence Avenue just before the Don Valley Parkway (signage says “Charles Sauriol Conservation Area”). There is parking right at the entrance for a few cars and a bigger one inside.

The trail follows the Don River and at one point branches out to 2 paths. One leads all the way to Wynford Drive where the other entrance is.

The 2nd path crosses a bridge and goes through the rainbow tunnel leading to the Moccasin Trail Park. In spite having taken this trail several times, this was our first time to reach this part as we have always taken the other route.

From the rainbow tunnel, the trail gets more beautiful with tall trees along the winding and rolling road. There is also green space to rest and relax.

Graffiti found written inside the tunnel. Signs of the time.
