Elgin county is not all about trains. There are actually a lot of other fascinating items to see around Elgin County. Here are some still on the art side.

The sun seems to be the icon for Port Stanley’s Theatre. Mr. Sun is all over the building.

A Port Stanley mural (with no train) showing Port Stanley hotels a century ago. Very different from today’s Port Stanley.

The Aylmer mural (corner of Talbot Road and Catfish Creek) showing Aylmer’s pride and industries – canning, the Policy College, trucking to name a few.

An unnamed street art for a barber shop. Found while hopelessly looking for Jumbo, the legendary elephant.

A St. Thomas mural showing a typical farm before the train came to existence. The doors of Port Stanley’s Fire Department.

And then finally!  Jumbo, the Elephant. Life sized statue of the world’s most famous elephant that met its untimely death in St. Thomas – by a train!!
