One of the places I wanted to check out was the High Line (also known as High Line Park). This 2.33 kilometers of an elevated linear park built on the disused section of the New York Central Railroad line. The park starts from Gansevoort St (3 blocks below 14th Street) up to 34th Street.

The city never stops growing as viewed from the Highline.

Art Installation – Hop, Skip, Jump, Fly : Escape from Gravity. ~ Sheila Hicks

Another art on display.

Flowers starting to bloom.

Thought-provoking (find Trump), lovely and attractive sights you encounter while strolling the High Line.

The place is really meant to be some green space.

By the 22nd street entrance is this mural – I Lift My Lamp Beside the Golden Door : An Ode to the Statue of Liberty by Dorothy Iannone

It was still early spring and the park had no greens yet, but it was a good long walk to enjoy.  Benches and sitting areas were provided along the way. Basing on the number of people in the park that day, it seems Highline is becoming one of the cool places to see/visit while in New York.
