It was a very hot and sunny day when we drove to Athens, Georgia. We had a list of what we want to check out but we realized we could not take the humidity. Still we were able to enjoy the street arts of Athens, GA.

Colorful street banners by Eli Saragoussi

I have never seen a place with light pole bases decorated with beautiful mosaics. These are part of the Project Ginkgo Mosaics and all crafted by artist Krysia Ara. Wish we were able to check out all 17 of them.

Then the cute “dawgs” – fiberglass bulldogs painted by various artists. Last I heard, there are 33 of them scattered all over Athens, GA. Just glad we were able to see a few of them.

Of course, not to be missed were the regular murals on the walls too.
