We are always excited with Orillia’s Street Alive project. Every year, various artworks are displayed on their streets and they never fail. This year, the chosen theme is “A Painter Passing Through” in honor of the town’s favorite son, Gordon Lightfoot who was born in Orillia in 1938. 2023’s project also pay homage to Lightfoot’s 1998 song of the same title. Sixty guitars made from coroplast and wood were be painted by local artists and then attached to downtown street poles. More guitars!!!
A fun way to honor one of Canada’s folk music icon.
