Part 3 of our Kitchener Mural stroll.

An eye catching mural found in a place that used to be a piazza.

Artist : Claire Binnie, location : Goudies Lane. This shows the tri city of Waterloo and the river that connects them.

A piece found on the street while strolling.

This Meg Harder, Melika Hashemi work found on the entrance floor of the Kitchener Market Piazza is lovely, unique and aptly placed. Combining the cultural backgrounds of the artists (Iranian and Mennonite), it serves like a welcome carpet to anyone who comes to the market.

One of the best artwork in Kitchener is by Meg Leslie. Found outside the House of Friendship’s Men’s hostel, it is a mosaic of waving hands and arms made up of broken pottery and chinaware. It has an interesting story as well – as it started from a poem “I want to tile a wall” also by Meg and four years later a tiled wall was created indeed.
