Who would have thought that fishing huts can be made colorful art displays. We think of fishing huts (used as shelter during ice fishing season) as plain if at all drab. But the town of Innisfil thought of turning them into canvasses for attractive, engaging and thought-provoking art displays. The huts are located in parks and around the frozen Lake Simcoe until mid March. Painted by selected artists, who were encouraged to explore the themes of Lake Simcoe’s heritage and legacy, and a celebration of community, the huts surely made the gray wintry beach scenes more colorful.
