An hour from the Blue Mountains is the rural Village of Coldwater, the oldest and most historic village in Severn Township with a population of 1400. Taking advantage of one sunny day in December, we checked out the place.
The little parkette was ready for Christmas.
Actually, the whole main street was Christmas ready.
Little did we know, Mr. Claus and his reindeers were set for a short drive by.
Coldwater sits just beside the river thus summer is the busier time when people come here to fish, hike, canoe and kayak. This time of year the place is a bit more quiet. Found some interesting shops though.
Then finally some delicious treats from EM’s Cafe.
Coldwater is our kind of place and we feel there are still a lot to discover here. We intend to come back some other time.
