When our Ravenna guy dropped us at the Kolapore Uplands, he said “When you are done here, follow the gravel road until you reach the bridge then turn right”. Our unexpected Kolapore adventure had been fun, so we followed the instructions. The gravel road was long, curvy and narrow but we did not mind as the tall green trees along the sides were so beautiful.

This led us to the Feversham Gorge Conservation Area. A hidden river meanders through a gorge with rare ferns, mosses and liverworts. Near the south end of the trail is a wonderful, almost Japanese-like garden created by springs seeping out of the side of the gorge. Saft mosses and grasses and the sound of bubbling water create a cool, relaxing place to stop and absorb your surroundings. (from the website).

Two beautiful places in one afternoon – and both unplanned.
