Today we ventured just a bit Northwest and ended at the Nokiidaa (meaning “walking together” in Ojibwa) Trail which connects the communities of Aurora, New Market and East Gwillimbury, along the East Holland River. We took the 72 Holland River Blvd address and parked along the street.

This bridge was just a few meters from the entrance and as always with trails that got bridges, this got me excited.

From the bridge, we took the narrow nature path with lots of shade and some sunny breaks in between.

Finally, we reached this lovely boardwalk crossing the 2nd Concession Ave.

Trail signage in one of the entrances.

The wider path we took in going back.

Lilac trees dot the trail with their sweet smell.

But the icing on the cake – just before we reached our starting point, was the lane which lead to a small patch filled with more lilac trees.

This is one trail we enjoyed a lot and hope to come back more often.
