We did not plan to stop by Tweed from Cloyne, but when I saw something that caught my eye – we definitely had to stop. Colorful fire hydrants lining the streets!

While I was snapping photos, a woman driving stopped to shout “Have fun! They are all over the place!”

I read later there are more than 30 of these fire hydrants all over the main street and they are maintained/repainted every summer. These painted hydrants are the result of the Canada World Youth Organization’s Pakistan – Ontario Exchange Program in 1987.
