After long stretches of white scenery and gray clouds, found fun and color in the village of Warkworth (around 2 hours drive away from Toronto).

This inviting yellow chair fronting “Our Lucky Stars Café” was enough to lure us in.

Yummy sandwich with locally sourced ingredients paired with hot coffee (not in picture).

Across the street was The General Store with photo-friendly polar bears.

Then we were directed to the barn of Ron Windebanks, a local artist who graciously opened his barn to show me some of his works and shop.
These salt and pepper shakers (cow and snowman) from “Our Lucky Stars Café” seems to say country side driving is always fun and colorful, no matter the season.
