Amherstburg is a town southwest of Ontario and is a 4 hour drive away from Toronto. Today is our first time to visit the place and we were in for a surprise. First, we accidentally found nine large outdoor art panels at the back of the General Amherst High School. These artworks were created in 1964-1967 and restored for the 2012 Bi Centennial. A rare art form of granolux with each panel depicting a story or life in the 1800’s. Beside each panel is a short explanation of the artworks.
Next stop was the King`s Navy Yard Park.
Varieties of hostas filled the garden.
We capped our morning stroll with coffee and tea at the very chic Caffeine & Co. Super yummy sweets and great ambience!
