Midland is said to have one of Ontario’s largest and most beautiful outdoor galleries, thanks to its more than 35 colorful murals located along the city’s main street.

And so we drove to Midland one hot summer day to see the murals. Most murals were located along King Street and other adjoining streets. They were not difficult to find and one can even ask for a map at any Midland Information Centre. We got mine off the internet but the map from the information centre was way better.

Despite the scorching sun we still managed to check off most of the murals on the list. It is not all murals along King Street. There were retail shops and restaurants.

We even stopped by The Elegant Gourmet to have coffee. They serve ice cream and have chocolates too.
