We revisited the hamlet of Belfountain after our short stop at the Alton Mills Art Centre. The Conservation area was full with picnickers as this was a warm, humid Sunday. Cooled off with Kawartha ice cream at the Belfountain General Store. (I really wondered if the store existed since 1888).
Although inside was air conditioned, there were lots of seating space inside as most clients preferred to be outside enjoying the weather. Lots of gift items to browse and food items too. We even took home a few pieces of the in-store baked yummy croissants. (They open from 7:30 am to 9 pm – daily).
Outside near the Conservation area entrance was another ice-cream shop (Belfountain has 3!) and I got excited to see that the red bike I saw last fall is now yellow-green. How cool is that!
Even the baby bike has changed to summer color too. Kind of unfortunate that there was a parked vehicle nearby thus I was not able to take a photo of both bikes together.
As we were leaving, the very narrow road was getting full with parked cars. The other ice cream shop/cafe was getting clients too. I should try them next time.
Our other visit to the hamlet of Belfountain.
