Much was written about Banksy’s unauthorized exhibit but we still went to watch it. I just want to see for real some of the works this elusive artist has produced.

The only Banksy part here is the kneeling boy (from the original “Forgive Us Our Trespassing”). The windows were tagged (signed) by pupils from LA’s local community schools. My cellphone photo did not capture the beauty of this piece.

“Rage, Flower Thrower” – 2005, seen in Jerusalem.

“Balloon Girl” – 2002. A 2017 Samsung poll ranked Balloon Girl as the United Kingdom’s number one favourite artwork.

“Destroy Capitalism”, 2006

“Raising the Flag at Iwo Jima”

For an unauthorized exhibit, I still enjoyed it. There was space between artworks even with people moving around. Enough information was provided, lighting was good and some of Banksy’s earlier works were present. It was enough for a half day wandering.

“A wall is a very big weapon. It’s one of the nastiest things you can hit someone with.” ~ Banksy
