The last place we visited in our Food Tour was Erico – the Chocolate Museum. It was a small place with of course lots of chocolates. The place was small but full of interesting chocolate things.
Like this dress made OF chocolate.
Or this clock made of chocolate.
“Chocolate” is the phonetic transcription of the Mayan word “xocoatl” pronounced “shock-ohwattel”. And in the olden times they also used a whisk to whip up the chocolate beverage.
An assortment of chocolate cans. Chocolate cans.
Postage stamps showing activities related to cacao production. (Yummy! for a stamp collector like me).
Chocolate pots in the olden times. Like the ones we had back home.
Then it was time to go – forgot to taste the chocolates!
