The Carousel in Markham, Ontario is also known as the Pride of Canada Carousel. Created by Canadian born sculptor Patrick Amiot (sometimes referred to as an urban folk artist) and painted by his wife Brigitte it has 44 rideable sculptural characters made from recycled and repurposed materials.

One lazy summer afternoon after work, we checked it out. Not only was the ride so much fun, the carousel cars were so beautiful too. Absolutely inviting to children. Their imagination can just go wild!

Riding on a bathtub with your doggie.

Taking your violin for a ride.

How can you not love this moon?

A bumblebee that does not sting.

Come on, one is never too old to ride a carousel!
