Castelo de Sant’Angelo. Too bad it was already closed when we arrived.

The Fontana di Trevi – or Trevi Fountain in English is the largest Baroque fountain in the city and the most beautiful in the world.
The famous rite of throwing a coin in the fountain has two main explanations. First, the Ancient Romans used often to throw coins in fountains, rivers or lakes to make the Gods of water favor their journey and help them go back home safely. Second, this tradition has been invented to raise funds for the maintenance of the fountain.
First day in Rome and so far from Veni, vidi, vici. (I came, I saw, I conquered).Just a tip of the iceberg.
