On March 18-19, the Tuesday ladies finally found time to spend a weekend together.
We started off with breakfast at Markham Station while waiting for the rented van. Full and ready we were off despite the snow, freezing rain and strong winds.
Day 1 – Places and Stop-Overs : Craigleith Provincial Park after around 3 hours of driving. Meaford with some side shopping at County Affairs and Candles and Grandma Lambe’s. Sight seeing at Blue Mountain Village.
Snowy beach of Craigleith Provincial Park.
A mural at Meaford.
At Meaford’s Country Affairs and Candles.
Places We Ate :
Lunch at Andrew’s ROOTs in Meaford. I had the seafood crepe which was delicious. The clam chowder was perfect but the Risotto was on salty side. And for that the server gave us a discount. Excellent service!! Dinner at the Iron Skillet in Collingwood. We had a combined order of Skillet Southern Style – Sweet Potato Nacho, Coconut Shrimp and a large House Salad as starters. As main course we had the Chicken Teriyaki Stir-Fry and Seafood Paella. Place was busy but service was not slow. Food was new to my taste buds and price was reasonable too. I may come back here.
The bunch chilling at the Blue Mountain Village.
