The wanderer in us led us to Carlton, a town in Jefferson County, New York. With a population of 5,100 in 2010 and an area of 104 square miles, this place can be easily missed.
However, the moment I saw these chairs, the hubby knew right away I wanted to stop.
I found this town overlooking the St. Lawrence river very quiet (even lonely). It had a few shops, a lot of historic buildings and a handful of tourists.
I did enjoy the murals outside some of the restaurant walls which had almost the same subject – ships.
