What a nice way to bond and enjoy an afternoon with a friend than to visit an Art Museum. The Cincinnati Art Museum was founded in 1881 and is one of the oldest in the United States. General admission was free.
The museum boasts of more than 70,000 collection spanning 6,000 years. They have African, American, European, East Asian and Indigenous American Art just to mention a few.
Van Gogh’s Undergrowth with Two Figures, 1890.
An altar piece with 13 scenes from the New and Old Testament (Rendilla Retablo), oil on panel, 1550.
We were also lucky as we were able to view the ticketed exhibit of Whitfield Lovell’s Passages.
We wished we could have stayed longer and explored (or goofed around) some more. But we had to leave.
