Anything art never fails to catch my eye wherever the twosome wanderers go. Two murals found at the Lake of Bay Public Library along Highway 60.

First mural is “Winter Sunrise'” originally by Lawren Harris in 1913 while second mural is “The Drive” from an original painting in 1916 by Tom Thomson. Both murals are part of the Group of Seven Outdoor Gallery – a public exhibit that features mural reproductions of paintings by Canada’s Group of Seven artists. Both murals were painted by Gerry Lantaigne who started the public gallery in 1977.

Meanwhile, at Beeton Ontario ( an hour north of Toronto) we found these 2 “bee art”, remnants from the 2013 Great Big Beeton Bee Contest. Seven years has passed yet the artworks still look great.

Carved welcome to Beeton sign fronting the town’s library.
