“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.” ~ Marcel Proust
We’ve been wandering around the Ontario hiways and backroads for years. The roads have not changed much, but we recently got new eyes. Eyes like Marcel’s. Eyes that are now looking for barns and quilts.
Barn quilts are eight-foot square (and larger) painted replicas of actual fabric quilt blocks installed on barns, schoolhouses, churches or other public boards along Ontario roads. Barn quilts become rural eye candy glimpsed as one rolls down rural highways. Here are some we spotted lately.
