Another spur of a moment decision to wander in one of Ontario’s smaller towns – Bobcaygeon (2.5 hours for Toronto). The town is known for the several bridges that connect the island town to the mainland. This afternoon however instead of the bridges – I found the flower baskets and painted wooden canoe paddles hanging on the poles of the town’s main street very delightful. It is said there are around 70 of the paddles and yet I was only able to capture less than 20. I wonder where the others were hiding?
After summer the painted paddles will be displayed and auctioned off. For more of Bobcaygeon’s summer paddles, click here.
