New Brunswick being the Canadian province with the most number of covered bridges we did not leave Sussex without passing by 2 other bridges.
Smith’s Creek Covered Bridge – built in 1927. This one still allows vehicles to pass through.
Salmon River Covered Bridge – built in 1908. This bridge allows only pedestrians to pass through.
Then we met young, new friends while admiring the structure.
I love checking out covered bridges. They are historical, romantic and served a purpose during their time. These bridges are getting extinct too – thus I enjoy them now before they are gone.
